Woe Unto Those Who Wait for They Must Return Again Unconscious and Unknowin

The great wisdom of the EMERALD TABLETS OF THOTH .

The Emerald Tablet is one of the most revered documents in the Western World, and its Egyptian author, Hermes Trismegistus, has become synonymous with ancient wisdom. His tablet contains an extremely succinct summary of what Aldous Huxley dubbed the "Perennial Philosophy," a timeless science of soul that keeps popping up despite centuries of effort to suppress information technology. The basic idea is that in that location exists a divine or archetypal level of mind that determines physical reality, and individuals can access that realm through direct knowledge of God.

The teachings of Hermes — the Hermetic tradition — is one of the oldest spiritual traditions in the world, and while no direct evidence links the Emerald Tablet to Eastern religions, it shares uncanny similarities in concepts and terminology with Taoism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. In the West, the tablet constitute a home not merely in the pagan tradition but also in all iii of the orthodox Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam), and many of the nigh heretical beliefs of the Gnostics are also openly expressed in information technology. Similar the authors of the tablet, the Gnostics believed that direct cognition of reality could be attained through psychological bailiwick and meditative exercises. They also shared a mutual view of the universe in which "All Is I," a design of creation and disuse symbolized by the Ouroboros (the snake eating its own tail).

Without doubt, the Emerald Tablet was the inspiration behind many other esoteric traditions, including over 1,700 years of abracadabra. Most medieval alchemists hung a copy of the tablet on their laboratory wall and constantly referred to the "hugger-mugger formula" it independent. In fact, during the sixteenth century, Hermes Trismegistus was such a revered figure that in that location was a movement to take his teachings supervene upon those of Aristotle in European schools.

5 hundred years later, the tablet's words are still held in the highest regard. "The Emerald Tablet is the cryptic paradigm of the alchemical opus," noted Jungian analyst Dr. Edward Edinger, "a recipe for the 2nd creation of the globe." Ethnobotanist and consciousness guru Terence McKenna agrees, calling the tablet "a formula for a holographic matrix" that is mirrored in the human listen and offers mankind its just promise for future survival. "Whatever ane chooses to believe about it," sums up John Matthews in The Western Way (Penguin 1997), "there is no getting away from the fact that the Emerald Tablet is one of the most profound and important documents to have come downwardly to us. Information technology has been said more than one time that it contains the sum of all knowledge — for those able to understand information technology."

However, there is one nagging problem with the Emerald Tablet: Nobody seems to know for certain where it came from, or who really wrote it…

"Hermes bowed his head in thankfulness to the Cracking Dragon who had taught him and so much, and begged to hear more concerning the ultimate of the human soul. So Poimandres resumed: "At decease the material body of homo is returned to the elements from which it came, and the invisible divine human ascends to the source from whence he came, namely the Eighth Sphere…

"Then, beingness naked of all the accumulations of the seven Rings, the soul comes to the Eighth Sphere, namely, the ring of the fixed stars. Here, freed of all illusion, it dwells in the Calorie-free and sings praises to the Begetter in a vocalisation which merely the pure of spirit may understand. Behold, O Hermes, there is a great mystery in the Eighth Sphere, for the Milky way is the seed-footing of souls, and from information technology they drop into the Rings, and to the Milky Mode they render again from the wheels of Saturn. Simply some cannot climb the seven-runged ladder of the Rings. So they wander in darkness below and are swept into eternity with the illusion of sense and earthiness…

The path to immortality is difficult, and only a few find information technology. The rest expect the Great Solar day when the wheels of the universe shall be stopped and the immortal sparks shall escape from the sheaths of substance. Woe unto those who wait, for they must return again, unconscious and unknowing, to the seed-ground of stars, and look a new commencement. Those who are saved past the low-cal of the mystery which I have revealed unto y'all, O Hermes, and which I now bid you to plant among men, shall render again to the Father who dwelleth in the White Low-cal, and shall deliver themselves up to the Light and shall be absorbed into the Low-cal, and in the Calorie-free they shall become Powers in God. This is the Way of Skillful and is revealed but to them that have wisdom."
